Pregnant after a Loss

Ugh Mom

DH and I are at my parents house for the holiday and decided to stay for the blizzard. Thankfully my m/s has not been too bad yesterday and today so I have been eating at all my meals. Well today I took a nap and woke up at dinner time, except that I woke up with a tummy ache and wasn't that hungry, so ate a few spoonfuls of the chicken stew my Mom made and then passed on the rest. Well now I am hungry but don't want the stew so I made myself a snack of peanut butter and apple slices. Well my mom rolled her eyes and made lots of comments about too many carbs at once and my bad eating habits. ::eye roll:: It is not like I am feeing myself/baby McDonalds or other crap, it is a healthy snack with protien! And I had a full breakfast (eggs/hash browns/toast/OJ/sausage) AND lunch (sandwhich) today. Lay off Mom!

    Ditto!!  PB, in moderation, is really good for you!!  Lots of good fats and proteins in it!

  • I love apples with Nutella! YUM! And that's a totally healthy snack! Your mom is nuts. My MIL has been here two whole weeks and constantly trying to get me to eat stuff I don't want to eat. I have been having a lot of food aversions, and when I don't want to eat something she makes she gets offended.

  • My mom always comments on my diet... But it's more like she is on the latest fad diet and has suggestions.  MIL comments on my diet too... but behind my back and to DH who then gives me the 'tips'.  People should not be allowed to comment on peoples diets/weight- keep your thoughts to yourself.

  • apple and PB??? That's one of my fave snacks and I think it's prolly the healthiest snack I've ever eaten. Geez!!!

    I don't have that problem with my mom or MIL - they are both overweight and have no willpower when it comes to eating.

  • My mom would have been thrilled if I snacked on apples and PB in the first tri. You have to eat what stays down. For me, that meant potato chips and ice cream.
