Quilters come in

How do you think these fabrics would look together in a fairly simple square patchwork quilt?  I've never quilted before and have no clue on patterns, colors and such.  Also if I'm wanting to make a full size quilt for a bed, how much yardage of each would you get?  Thanks.

Re: Quilters come in

  • When I went to the link it only had one fabric....

But the important thing is to have A) fabrics that read dark, medium, and light - if you only have say med/light and no dark the quilt doesn't have as much visual interest/pop as well and B) to have patterns of varying sizes including some that read as solid (although they may not actually be solid, they could be a small/minor pattern, a tone on tone pattern, or a batik - I love batiks mixed into quilts).
