NBR if you have an iphone....

you should really consider getting mobile me!!  Today when I was getting the baby out of the car, I dropped my iPhone 4 & didn't know it.  We realized it after we got home about 45 minutes later, & located it on mobile me thinking I lost it in the house or car somewhere. (But for once I really lost it!)  My dh drove out to where it was according to mobile me & questioned an employee about seeing it, he claimed he didn't know anything about it.  That's when my dh sent a message from mobile me on his phone which sets of a ringer/beeping onto your phone. (the man who stole it had already turned my phone on silent before we locked it from our computer, but it still goes off even on silent) & it started ringing in the dudes pocket!!

He was totally busted & handed it over.  Such a d*ck move, but you gotta love technology!   Soooo happy I got it back :0)

    I concur! But I lost mine during the big outtage in July, and unfortunately my mobile me did nothing since there was no signal cos all the towers were down.

    I have read that iphone 4 users dont have the pay for the full mobile me (the 99 bucks) but rather get it for free. Just the phone locating part, not the rest of the stuff that does come with the full mobile me package. Just fyi.

    Yep, the locater is free for iPhone 4 users!  I use it to sync programs though, I love it.

    My husband just lost his iphone4 a few weeks ago... he has mobile me, but didn't have it set up or something.... wish he had, that sounds amazing!  I can't believe that guy took your phone and you busted him, that's awesome!

    I would've gotten his ass fired and called the police. In NV, that would be grand larceny and a felony charge. But yay for MobileMe! I'll have too look into it a little closer now.
