Every time I see a post from someone freaking out about stretchmarks or "How do I prevent/ get rid of them?", I think of Carly Simon's You're So Vain. bahahaha
I know we all "worry" about them to an extent, but some women feel their world will come crashing down with one of those marks. Just wait until their DHs/ SOs ask the doctor if "that's gonna go back to normal" later.
Sorry, it might just be time to go to bed.
Re: Stretchmark freakouts
Snort.
I've had stretch marks on my hips and boobs for as long as I can remember.
All I got from the pg were 6 angry looking reddish/pink circles on the ends of the stretch marks on each of my hips. Which is quite the interesting look, I must admit. But hardly concerns me given the fact that the ones from a rapidly changing body earlier in my life are so much worse!

I have stretch marks in my inner thighs as well as a little on my boobs. They aren't too noticeable.
I'm a first time mom and not sure what to expect with regards to stretch marks. If they happen, they happen. I'm more concerned about the varicose veins that are inevitable. My mom lived with them for 25 years that were very painful and killed her self confidence in shorts much less a bathing suit. She finally go them treated and is in much less pain now. Nasty.

My mom also has them. I'm starting to get little spots here and there. If you don't mind my asking, who did she see to get them fixed? Was it a dermotologist? I'd love to find a way to get the procedure done for my mom.
I'm with you, and I feel the same way about the break out posts. This is just part of pregnancy - it's not glamorous, but who the hell cares?
I haven't gotten any stretch marks yet, but I seriously couldn't care less if I do end up with some. My hips and boobs are marked from puberty, so it's no big.
Also, I have what appear to be permanent shading from the Lovenox. These marks have been there since my first round, which was early this year. They are not the most adorable body mark a person could have, but I don't care. They are well worth it.
I think she just talked to her doctor, not sure if he gave her a referral to a dermatologist or not. She did have laser spot treating done and it was deemed medically necessary so insurance would cover it.
So far I just have spider veins that started in my teens but have grown/expanded lately. Pretty ugly - I also think I can see them more without my summer tan.
