f/u holiday travels. honeymoon fail.

So it looks like DH and I will not make it to our honeymoon. We woke up to a call at 3am from Delta airlines telling us our flight was canceled. After a frantic 1.5hrs of trying to redirect our flight to Honolulu on the computer I broke down and cried. DH somehow got through to Delta on the phone and they were able to give us another flight about an hour later but at a different airport. Needless to say, we drove the hour to LaGuardia airport and were shot down due to a full flight. We fought for a good 5 hours with the airline but it looks like a lot of flights have been canceled due to the blizzard that's currently going on outside. But still, my flight was to leave at 7am, snow didn't reach us until 11:30am... what gives? We will, however, not give up and will book our honeymoon for a later date in the near future so I can't exactly call this a bust yet. I'd still rather be on the beach than huddled at home watching snow fall outside. Wah

And as for the weather, littlecookie, you're right. I've been checking and it is pretty wet right now. I would have been miserable the first few days, anyway.
I do hope that in the future it'll be much better and that I'll have a better overall traveling experience.
