We recieved several of the Halo Swaddlers for Cami, which is wonderful. My few friends that have kids swear by them, so I'm so thankful to get the gift.
Except M and I sat there for twenty minutes trying to figure out how they worked - it took ten to realize that was where the feet went, not the head, btw - and we finally sort of got overwhelmed and put them in a drawer.
The biggest mystery? What's with the little slit in the back, around the butt area? Is that so you can test diaper wetness without unswaddling? Or something? That's the best I could come up with.
Cami...dude, I'm sorry in advance. I promise, we will try to get it together here.

I'm with you!! I haven't seen one in real life yet, only online, so I'm sure I'll be baffled. We got the Baby Bjorn carrier and I don't even have the energy to figure that thing out. Holy moly, all those straps.
The stuff we are buying is ridiculously easy to use b/c I hate having to be part of some secret club society with a handshake to unfold a pack n' play. I don't like it when baby gadgets make me feel stupid!!
The Baby Jogger City Mini stroller is so ridiculously easy; we were sold. Same with the high chair because it doesn't have many moving parts. The simpler, the better!

I've always used the Swaddle Me ones so I'm not sure exactly what the Halo swaddlers are like, however, my guess for the slit in the back would be it's so that you can run bouncy seat straps or car seat straps or whatever through it and have your kid wrapped up on the blanket while in the seat.
Baby stuff can be tricky to figure out. It took me forever to figure out what in the world I would need the disk thingys that come with bottles for.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
This Cluttered Life
I just got some jersey cotton swaddling blankets from Carters and worked it "old school". I pulled out my Swaddle Me swaddlers once and they hurt my head! There is also a ultimate swaddle video I've seen on youtube to keep her from getting out of it. Just search youtube, Swaddling 102: escape proof swaddle is the title!
