Pregnant after a Loss

**ambrandau2**

I know you've had a history of CP and MC.

Was there anything your dr prescribed you that helped you? I've read vitamin B6, baby aspirin and other medication.

I know everyone is different but I just want to see what I might have to deal with in the near future.

TIA!

Re: **ambrandau2**

  • I am so sorry you are going through this.

My RE put me on baby aspirin, Folgard (Which is a B-6, B-12, FA broken down vitamin) 4 mg FA while TTC. She also had me abstain from all caffeine, as she feels it interferes w/ FA absorption.

Once we triggered, I began Lovenox injections on top of the vitamins/suppliments, but that was to answer the MTHFR mutation.

If you haven't done so already, I really recommend demanding an RPL panel from your OB, so you can rule out clotting disorders or anything else that might be affecting your chances of a successful pregnancy. A lot of insurance companies will cover it after two losses now, when it used to be three, if your doctor is willing to order it.

  • What's 4 mg FA?

and what's exactly a RPL panel?

    Sorry I sound so clueless!

  • 4 mg Folic Acid

Recurrent Pregnancy Loss panel - a panel of blood work checking common causes of loss.

  • Thanks for all your help. I'll call my insurance tomorrow to make sure what exactly is covered and I'll call my dr to make an appt.
