For those that said it could be diastasis

Who would I ask if that's what's going on? Would I talk to my OB, general doc, personal trainer, plastic surgeon? Saw a link at the end of my post that has exercises/products to heal it naturally, would love to know if that's something I'm dealing with.

  • I talked to my OB about it, who then referred me to a plastic surgeon.

  • If its minor it may go away on its own.  If its major, the only way to fix it is plastic surgery.

I just had surgery to correct mine since it was major...I had a 4 cm hole up my whole abdomen.  By the end of the day I looked 5 months pregnant.  And I'm a size 0-2.   Insurance will not cover it, so be prepared for that.  As soon as I saw your picture, I thought you had a diastasis.

PM me if you want to talk about it.  I'm 3 months out from my surgery.

  • I talked to my PCP about it, but it was before I had any idea wtf was going on. I was more concerned with the herniation and weird popping outtie thing. My PCP suggested I speak with a general/cosmetic surgeon about it. I was supposed to have a tummy tuck at Thanksgiving, but other things came up Sad

  • I think mine is also ~4 or 5 cm and I am now 6 mo pp.  I am scheduled to see a physical therapist soon for exercises but now reading these posts I now worry that I'll need surgery.
