I have no idea how much DD actually eats since I let her go, on both sides, until she is done. When DH gives her a bottle, she will usually take down about 4 oz but, on Christmas Eve, I gave her a bottle (because I was indulging in some wine and eggnog). She took down 7 1/2 oz!!! NONE of it came back up. After that she slept a solid 5 hours and dozed off again after her diaper change when she did wake up.
She will be 2 months on Thursday... maybe FF can give me an idea of how much the little buggers usually eat at this age? I just thought that was a rather large amount in one sitting.

Re: How much do they actually eat?
When I went to the pedi last week they told me based on her weight (9 lbs) that she'd take anywhere from 3-4 oz at a time. I know LO will take up to 5 if I let her or will eat 4 and take 2 more an hour later.
It sounds like your LO was gearing up for a long sleep. I wouldn't get too concerned unless she was eating really ravenously at all feedings.
Also, FF won't give you good guidelines for BF babies, FF babies eat more ounces of formula than BF babies do, it's not a 1 to 1 ratio or anything. I know kellymom.com has a good resource for ounces, but it's based on a daily thing, not per feeding. I think they say BF babies average 25 oz a day but it could be up to 30 oz, it all really depends.
