Vent inside- b/c I know you guys will understand

MH's dad, his woman, and MH's grandparents and aunt came over last night for Christmas eve.  All of them except the woman love our dogs.  

But if someone mentions one more time- wow you have 4 dogs, I'm going to come back with a witty remark.  We do have 4 dogs who are all well behaved, and only barked when people first arrived, then they laid down. 

Seriously- little Penny sniffed her or even walked by her- and all she said was 'go away'.  So one time MH told Penny to go lie down and I said- no, she is just being a dog and dogs are allowed to sniff people she 's not doing anything wrong- and then I glared at her (FIL's new woman)

next time she comes over my response to her will be- if you don't want my dogs to look at you, walk by you, or sniff you- then you shouldn't have come over.

I mean it's one thing if she has a fear of dogs or my dogs are jumping up on her, etc.  But that isn't the case.  

GRRR.... 

when they left we both said to each other- the more we see her the more we don't like her.

    I just can't understand or trust people that don't love animals. When my BF's family comes over and makes comments about my pupps barking or the fact that they are lounging on the furniture I just tell them "their house their furniture". They don't like me but my pupps love me! I'm glad you stood up for them!

    Ahh yes, we have four dogs.  We lock them up when people come over.  They're not mean, just too damn excited for people.  My MIL told me at least three times "I have a term for you...one dog."

    Irritating!  I feel your pain.

    Any guest that can openly complain about the host or the host's home while visiting (unless it's a valid concern) should leave or shove it. Sorry you had to deal with that!
