Am I the only one who didn't get baby gifts for xmas? :(

It seems like everyone else did. I mean, I got some maternity clothes. But no baby stuff.

I kind of thought I would.......

Yes. This does make me feel better. Because you're right. I probably would've been freaked out if I DID get them.

I'm just annoyed b/c SIL was ~25w pregnant last Christmas and MIL got her a bunch of newborn booties and hats and blankets and stuff. In fact, now that I think about it, it seems like ALL her gifts were "baby themed" last year.

My family didn't give us any baby stuff. I got lots of maternity clothes though. We got books for the baby from both of DH's brother and their wives (one is about a PUG that saves Christmas!!) A lot of people just do not give gifts until the baby shower or the baby is born.

I got a pair of maternity jeans, but nothing baby related. Granted, we haven't yet gotten home to open the gifts my family sent, but DH's family didn't get us anything baby related.

Can't say I'm complaining though....

I don't think my family dared to get me anything baby related because they know how apprehensive I am about things. I got DH a couple of small things for his stocking (babyproofing plugs, a book for daddyhood prep, a daddy bib and some star wars onesies), but I was very happy to have received nothing baby related. There's lots of time for that for me...right now we're still "newlyweds" so we enjoyed getting some stuff my mom bought a couple years ago off our registry when she cleaned it out after the wedding! lol...

My mom got me a baby-themed calendar (doesn't really count). She also bought me WTEWYE, but I discovered this before X-Mas & told her I already had it. Boo for ruining your own X-Mas present.

One of my friends did get me a onesie. But that's it.

We didn't get anything baby or maternity related. We got a knife set and a cutting board and a Thomas Kinkade anniversary clock. I'm grateful for all we got, but anything baby related is coming from my mom's side of the family when they come down in a few weeks.

DH and I specifically asked his mother for baby stuff for Christmas, and she refused, saying that she wanted to get something for US. Um, we could have used that baby stuff. Unlike the fondue set. Because we have three fondue sets.

This. Which ticked me off because.. HELLO!!! My sister basically got rid of all the gender neutral stuff I loaned her for her triplets and I'd really like to replenish it!

I got absolutely nothing even baby related not even maternity stuff. My DH got a wooden rattle...but that's it. I'm pretty sure I would have lost it if I did get baby stuff.

DH and I specifically decided that we wouldn't do anything baby related for Christmas. My mom did get me some maternity clothes though.

My dad - ugh... he got me tons of baby crap (any my crap I mean really stuff that is so far from my taste I don't even understand where he's coming from with it... covered in cartoon characters, etc.) I'm thankful for the gesture, but we used to be really close and the fact that he bought me the specific things he did is just really odd to me.... I think the baby stuff from my dad was only b/c his gf's teenage daughter is pregnant and living with them and I think he felt like since they got her baby stuff he needed to get me baby stuff?

We specifically requested no baby stuff for Christmas. Were very nervous about it this time around. Try to think this way...its the last time you will have a Christmas present ALL for you!!

Next year it will be all about the baby!

I got some maternity clothes too. I went with my mom to Walmart and picked out a few baby things that she decided to buy for me and wrap for Xmas (so does that count???) and my SIL thought since we only buy gifts for the kids that technically our baby was one of the kids so she bought some teether toys and a book or two. I can't say I really got a lot for the baby though. My SIL was really excited about another baby in the family so she probably bought the stuff and saved it all these weeks since I really hadn't seen her. I still have to exchange gifts with my ILs so I'll find out next week if they are letting me have one last Christmas for myself. It's all downhill from here...

I thought I would too, especially from DH's family, but I didn't. An aunt did give me some gender neutral onsies, but that's only because she won't be in town for any of my showers or anything. I'm surprised I didn't lose it. It may have helped that I thought she got me a pack of underwear when I first opened them. I'm so not used to this baby stuff. Embarrassed
