  My shower was Red Sox themed and they set a timer and when it went off they gave a gift to the person whose gift I was opening. My BM's also put together a great cookbook from recipes they asked the guests to send in. It was a touching homemade gift!

  My bachelorette party was on Cape Cod and they rented a house for 2 nights and the usual drunken debauchery Have fun! I love planning events!

  I'm a pretty low key kinda gal.  Bridal shower was at my sister's house... no themes that I can recall.  Instead of a real bachelorette "party", we went to the spa and got pampered... pedicures, yay!  I'd be up for a spa day at any time and I could use one now actually.  Then we went to dinner and then to an outdoor festival (it was summer) to hear a band (The Brat Pack out of Chicago= awesome 80s cover band).

  TTC #1 since October 2008. Dealing with MFI.
  IVF #1 w ICSI in July 2010 = BFN
  IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
  IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
  Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
  IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
  Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
  Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.
  IVF #4.1 in Jan 2012 converted to IUI on 1/7/12 = BFN
  IVF #4.2 w ICSI in Feb 2012. Lupron on 2/10. Stims on 2/18. ER on 2/29- 7R,6F
  ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer
  Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
  IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
  IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

  Bridal Shower - I had 2 one with my dads family and my friends and the other was a joint shower with my cousin and my mom's whole family. She got married 2 mos after I did.  At both, I didnt really have a theme persay - we played games such as each person had a clothes pin (my mom decorated them with a silk flower and white ribbon) and you couldnt say wedding or bride, if you did, you could take them away. I think we did gift bingo. One of my girlfriends we played match the celebrity husbands and wives. At my SIL's shower we asked my brother 20 questions as to his favorites and SIL had to guess. each wrong answer she had to chew a piece of gum. it was hysterical. her theme was sunflowers.

  bachelorette -- mine was at a tapas resturant with my bridal party. it wasnt anything fancy. it was fun. they all surprised me with some lingerie. it was nice. SIL's bachelorette we went on a wine tour.

  my 2 BFF's were a little craizer. One had hers in canada - we went bar hopping - she had an alphabetical list she had to complete. other BFF we all wore matchign tank tops that spelled out one last fling before the ring - each had a different word on them -- it was fun. we drew a lot of attention.

  For my bachelorette party they surprised me with a sex toy party.  It was sort of embarrassing but super fun and hilarious.  It really broke the ice (HS friends, college friends and relatives who dont know each other can be awkward)  - it really helped us all to have a great time when we went bar hopping downtown afterward.

  The most recent one I went to had a wine-tasting and then bar hopping downtown again.  Thats how we roll
