why would this girl text ME her pg announcement TODAY?

There is someone that I work with and see fairly often (about once a week). She is a year younger than me and KNOWS we have been TTC for 2 years and had IVF and miscarriages. So, today I get a text from her, "Merry Christmas everyone. We received the greatest gift of all-we are expecting a little one in July."

Seriously??? A text message on Christmas to someone with KNOWN IF?

 Doesn't make any sense to me....

Wedding Fall 2007 Off OCP's since 9/08-started with BBT charts Saw Ob/gyn May 2009 Blood work normal except single copy of MTHFR Clomid 50mg May 2009 Clomid 50mg + IUI June 2009 Femara 5mg + IUI July 2009 Normal HSG July 2009 Femara 5mg + ovidrel+IUI August 2009 Femara 5mg +ovidrel + IUI September 2009 November 2009-normal lap December 2009-met with RE December/January-Injectible med cycle with IUI-Abnormal sperm morpology found-only 0-1% normal All Head defects. Jan/Feb 2010 1st IVF with ICSI-5 week chemical pregnancy :( Feb 2010-male infertility doc says DH's anatomy and blood work are normal so nothing he can do. :( FET July 2010-BFP! Twin m/c @ 5.5 wks :( Dec/Jan 2011 IVF #2 Only 4 eggs retrieved-Ganirelix dose messed up BFFN Feb/March 2011 IVF #3 ER 3/9 9 eggs, 7 fertilized, ET 3/14, No frosties. BFN IVF #4 ER 8/22 9R,7F ET 8/25-3 embies, 1 frostie! Beta 9/2= 54, 9/6=274, 9/8=625, 9/12=2953, 9/16 greater than 10,000. B/G TWINS born April 2012 @ 36wks & 1 day! July 2014-going back for the frozen embryo! ET 7/28, heartbeat seen at 6wks1day with SCH. Miscarriage confirmed at 6wks4days

    Could she have done a mass text and forgot to exclude you? Either way, sorry you had to see that on Christmas.  Merry Christmas to you and hoping for a BFP for all of us come the new year.

    TTC #1 since Oct 2006 with severe MFI.
    Summer/Fall 2011 - DH on clomid. Helped with morphology and motility, but count still under 1 million.
    February 2011 - First RE appointment to discuss options.
    March 2011 - We aren't sure what we are going to do right now. DH isn't sure about DS.

    sorrry :-(. never easy. i got a face to face about 2 months ago, people dont understand at all, its really sad. I work with a girl that is IF also and if either of us get pregnant i dont know how were going to tell one another.  I know exactly how she would feel if i told her, and i would never want to hurt herknowing she has been down the same road as me, and shes 10 years older than i. my SIL is pregnant (thats who told me face to face) and im working really hard on dealing with it, but it is very hard and doesnt get easier when its family

    I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. People can be insensitive sometimes. I got one from a close friend of mine on my birthday.

    Married '02, TTC May '05

    Dx -Ute cancer, DOR from cancer treatments, and embryo quality issues. NOV 2010 CANCER FREE
    2005-2011= 3 Rounds of Clomid, 5 IUI's, 3 IVF's- ALL BFN's
    After 7yrs TTC, 5yrs of ute cancer, and 11 failed IF treatments, we got a surprise BFP! So thankful!
