DH and I decided not to tell our families until we see the doc on 1/4. So many times today I was tempted to spill the beans. I am proud to have kept it in all day! Anyone else NOT tell today?
We didn't tell today either and it was MUCH harder than I thought it would be. It was so easy with my first pregnancy for some reason (I guess because DH and I were kind of in shock) but this time I'm so excited and had to bite my tongue several times before I slipped up.
Good luck at your appointment! I have one on 1/3 and DH doesn't want to tell people until 15ish weeks so we have a looooooooong way to go.

Whoa! That's a long time to not tell! We will only tell close family and a few close friends until about 14 weeks. Last time, we told at 6 weeks to our parents, 17 weeks to everyone else.
Yeah I was kind of shocked too, but after what happened over the summer we're both extra cautious. I told DH that after the NT scan he'd probably be dying to share the news, but he claims he wants to wait. I guess we'll see!

We didn't! Personally I prefer not to tell all until 12 weeks.
Don't get me wrong - it was very difficult. First of all I was chatting on the phone to my mom & sister in Ireland this morning & I had to use every ounce of will-power not to spill!
Then we went to the IL's for the afternoon. Normally keeping stuff from them is not a problem for me but amidist all the good cheer & gift giving I was tempted to tell. I didn't though & I am glad - it is still too early IMO & I want to just enjoy these early days with DH & DS.
My immediate family found out yesterday (mom, stepdad, brother, SIL). We were planning to tell MIL/FIL/SIL/BIL today, but never had a chance to get them by themselves without extended family around. We're only telling our parents and siblings until we have seen the heartbeat since most of our family was shockingly unsympathetic after our m/c.
