Still don't get the fruit measurement thing

How is an orange smaller than an onion?  I wonder where the nest buys their fruit from.  I had a box of navel oranges this winter and they were friggin huge!  My ticker makes me think my baby is a lot bigger than it is which is starting to drive me crazy.

just sayin'

  • I feel the same way. :)

  • I agree, I dont exactly understand how a lemon is bigger than a peach either? I thought? Well did it shrink?! Lol
  • They have some weird fruit dealer. I try to just go by what the books say, like this week baby is 3.4 inches. That is easier for me than figuring out what cultivar of lemon they are talking about.

  • I think its supposed to be that the widest point on the fruit is equal to the length of the baby. So a lemon is wider than a peach because of its points. The peach and onion thing I don't get either, except maybe they were looking at a pointy onion when they decided! Wink
  • I think they might be going with the natural size of the fruits. The majority of the fruits that we know today are monsters compared to what the fruit would be like when home grown. For example, we have a lemon tree and the lemons look like clementines in comparison to the monsters in the store.

Just my two cents with a large sense of humor.
