Will it get harder??

I just feel like this is really easy...i mean my twins are only a week but its like they are soo good...waking up only 2 times and going right back to bed. Its almost easier then having just one...or the same. Will it stay like this? Or will it get bad? lol

Re: Will it get harder??

  • It really depends on the kids, but a lot of babies are really sleepy until their due date, and then they "wake up." One of mine was high-maintenance from Day 1 but the other was like that. The first four months were extremely difficult for us with refluxy babies and almost no sleep, but who knows; maybe you'll get lucky. I know some newborns are relatively easy, mellow babies.

  • Ditto macchiatto.  It almost always gets harder before it gets easier.  Buuuuuut babies are individual, and you might be really lucky.  Our kids are still not STTN at 5 months, and we are still surviving!  Smile

Glad its going well and hope it continues!

  • I thought the same thing until they were about 8 or 10 weeks old. I didn't understand why so many MOMs talked about the first couple months being a blur and so difficult. Yes it was hard, but they were on a schedule and pretty easy. But three months hit and whammo....we had a really rough 5 or 6 weeks after that. Lots of fussiness at night and waking up in the middle of the night when they had been sleeping great. They're much better now and a lot of fun, and not as fussy. But they're still not sleeping as great.
  • mine have always been pretty calm for babies. so i would say maybe, you just never know. it depends on the babies i think.
  • mine has been cake, until today...my three hour schedule the boys had themselves on is OUT the window...im so confused. And my body is starting to feel it already.

Im lucky my mom will be spending NEXT week with me. It's like i may get a little break

  • My babies are pretty easy but Im not fooled.. I know there will be times where I want to pull my hair out & times where Im thinking I could add another and this would all be easy!

Yup we had two refluxy, and one high needs baby and it is still sometimes crazy around here. The first two weeks were our honeymoon period!

  • Yep, mine got hard right around 4 months when they started to sleep a lot less during the day - all the sudden i couldnt get anything done anymore!

But I guess they made up for it by sleeping 10-12 hours a night... but now they only nap about 3 hours total during the day.
