What are your Christmas eve/Christmas traditions?

We get new pj's for Christmas and that is our one present we get to open on Christmas eve.  This is what I grew up doing. :)  The pj's are from mommy and daddy (or mommy since we all got some, even the in-laws living with us) and then the gifts on Christmas will be from St. Nickolaus.

    We always get a new toothbrush in our stocking! My mom still does this! DH and I don't have a lot of our own Christmas traditions yet, but we're discussing what we want them to be for next year :-)

    LOL My mom and my MIL both do this.  We will probably continue this too.

    We always buy 1 special ornament each year... we never got around to it this year though.. but I did get Morgan her own and we bought special stockings this year, so I suppose that makes up for it :D

     

    As for Christmas eve, one year we opened all the gifts and then Christmas morning was boring.. So no more openings gifts.. But we always order Pizza for dinner on Christmas eve.. We did that as a kid and I wanted to keep up with tradition. :)

    Christmas Eve is always pretty mellow. We usually just hang around the house or do some last minute running around for presents/dinner/etc. Then spend the evening watching either A Christmas Story or Nat'l Lampoons Christmas Vacation and wrapping presents. On Christmas morning we pick up  DH's kids and come home to open our presents and have breakfast. Then we go to my parent's house for dinner and more presents. We are thinking of starting a new tradition next year though, which would mean having Christmas most likely at my house! Tongue Tied
