GD and throwing up

Out of the blue this morning, I threw up. I had eaten breakfast an hour prior, and had just arrived at work when I had to make the mad dash to the bathroom. I had not felt nauseous or anything leading up to this. Since I got to see my breakfast again (egg & cheese on wheat toast), I am wondering what, if anything, I need to do to compensate for loosing it. Will my numbers be all messed up since I didn't digest the carbs? I have a Dr's appt later today, I just thought I'd see if anyone has had to deal with this particular scenario...

Re: GD and throwing up

  • I keep a food journal for my own records, but on my sheet from the hospital there is a spot to make comments regarding exercise or food and I'd just make a note of it.

  • I would make a note of it and also check a few extra times today.  I know checking extra is never fun, but you would hate to have a low before going to the doctor.
  • thanks for the feedback :) When I went in to my appt, the MW was not concerned at all and said not to worry about the levels, etc. Everything else for the day was normal anyway, and my numbers lately have been very good. I was just nervous at first and didn't know what to do!
