We were going to have DH's parents & sister over for breakfast tomorrow, easy, simple. 2 days ago they all decided they didn't want to wake up. So they invited themselves over for dinner tonight instead.
Which meant that we lost tonight for wrapping presents, had to figure out wtf to feed everyone, bla bla, along with everything else going on.
I know they just want to make it vaguely easier on us, I mean Bryan's not going anywhere, so they're coming here. But dude. NOTICE. We need NOTICE and a PLAN ppl.

I'm with WB's...and when it comes to family, I have NO problem saying such things. I would call and say "Hey, we still have to wrap some gifts, etc and would love for you all to come over and celebrate with us but we weren't prepared for making a dinner. Do you mind if we do Chinese take out?"
Or hey, have breakfast for dinner (assuming you already have all the stuff for breakfast)!!
Lari- close, we bought lasagne makings. They're cheap enough to make, though we do have to make two. One for the vegatarians, one for the meatatarians. Easy enough, just, dude.
Everyone else is too broke to bring anything much but we guilted FIL into a salad and MIL into drinks. We only keep milk & juice in the house, they all only drink soda or alcohol so they're on their own lol
Le sigh.
