  Our tradition growing up was to wait for our grandparents to come over before opening presents.  But while we were waiting we were allowed to open our stockings.  I like opening the stockings first b/c it is gearing you up for the big presents!  Merry Christmas everyone!!

  I think we do stocking last, but I know in the past we've done them first.  We have Christmas at my mom and dad's right now, but when we start doing Christmas day at our house I plan to do stocking last.  Have fun either way!

  They immediately see what Santa brought them, then they look in stockings, then we unwrap gifts.

  The tiny, (expensive) good things were always in the stockings. We went for those first.
