Anyone care to recommend their baby memory book? I have a feeling I will need a more simplified one as finding time to write down milestones is going to be a challenge... TIA
I actually use an excel spreadsheet - they each have their own tab and I separated the columns by month and jot down notes and milestones. It is not very glamorous but it is a great way to jot it down before I either forgot or time moves too fast.
I attempted a screen shot of Connor's page below but I am not sure if it will show up:

Connor
stood at the back sliding glass door and looked out to Tim and yelled Daddy
(pronounced Da-Dee) He also holds the
toy phon to his ear and says Hi-yee!
At bedtime we now hold the boys'
hands and walk from the family room, thought the house to the stairs. They boys climb up the stairs by themselves
and race to their rooms. (Actually they usually race all over upstairs - they
love exploring new spaces)
<----in addition to the
bedtime routine...now all we have to do is say "night-night" and the
boys repeat it over and over and get up and head to the door of the family
room.
11/2/10 Connor walked for the
first time! It was similar to the
first time he sttod the week before.
He was sitting on his step and we were playing the game where we count
to 3. He just stood up and walked to
us! He was cheering and smiling with
his hands in the air. He did it over
and over and over again all night.
I cannot even list all of the
words Connor says and he will repeat everything you say. He knows every animal sound and
movement. One of his favorite books
(Duck Soup) has the phrase OH-LA-LA in it and he says that all the time.
Connor
points to everything and says some form of ducky, clucky, etc.
Connor says "what's
this?" when pointing to all objects.
He can say Da-Da and light. If
you ask him where Connor is he pats on his chest.
10/25/10 Connor and James got
tubes this morning. And this evening
Connor was sitting on his favorite little seat (the sliding glass door) and
he just stood up all by himself. He
smiled, sat down and then did it again.
And again. He was smiling very
proud of himself (I cried!)
From his first steps Connor
hasn't skipped a beat. It was as if he
was walking all along. He is also so
independent that he doesn't even want to hold hands.
James and Connor stopped using
their highchairs and now sit at a little table for meals. James was DONE with the highchair but
Connor did not mind it as much. They
don't really sit still much but they do love their little table.
Connor
is such a loving boy - he will be playing and then out of no where will cross
the room and come give one of us a hug and pat our back. He also pats James' back which usually
leads to him patting James' head and then someone cries. ;-)
Since the tubes, Connor has had
a word explosion. He will repeat
everything and he has an amazing memory.
He knows all the aniaml sounds and loves to read books.
wow... i wish i could do that hahaha! I just picked a basic book for each of them at target and write the milestones down. I am a picture person. I take millions of pic. then i like to spend the money and make a photo book each year. I did a pregnancy one and i just made one for thier 1st year. In those books you can write text.
I have "twice upon a time" - they are books that are made for twins. The beginning is like a storybook, the middle talks about both babies, and the end is about the specific baby (you need two books). I really like them. YOu can google it and I think I got mine from Amazon.
