My DH and I will be seeking IUI #1 next month after an inability to find anything wrong with either of us(15 cycles). DH has an 11 year old and 7 year old to a previous marriage. Will IUI with Clomid increase our chances of multiples? I have done a ton a research and have read mixed opinions. Should I try IUI without meds first??? I'm so confused.
Re: chances of twins with IUI???
Looks like somewhere between 5-12% chance.

Does anyone know roughly how much one cycle of an IUI costs?? My insurance will only cover the infertility testing and not the IUI or IVF???
Another possibility to consider is that some ladies respond too well to the IUI meds and have too many follicles. While some dr's will cancel IUI if there are too many follicles, some ladies will get converted from IUI to IVF during the cycle itself, which could catch you by surprise if you don't know this is a possibility.

I'm starting in Feb or March and OOT is $300 for the weekly visits, sperm wash and the actual IUI. Meds are a different story but I'll be starting out on only clomid and whatever drug to make you ovulate when they want you too so I think a total of $400 which isn't too bad IMO.
