how off were your weight estimates at u/s?

Had my 35(+) week OB visit today - babies are weighing 5.1 and 5.6 today. I'm really happy with their growth. The office thinks I can go another two (maybe even three weeks) and then we'll be at induction.

The twins seem to be gaining about 3/4 of a pound every 2ish weeks.

Wondering how accurate or inaccurate your u/s weights were. I'm tickled at the idea of having two babies both at or over 5 1/2 lbs at delivery. Fingers crossed.

36w1d - A: 7 lbs 2 oz, B: 7 lbs 10 oz

36w2d (actual) - A: 5 lbs 14 oz, B: 6 lbs 3 oz

At 35w they estimated Baby A at 5lbs12oz and Baby B was a little less--5lbs5oz, I think.

At 37w, my final growth scan, they estimated both babies 5lbs11oz (so yes, it looked like A had lost an ounce!).

At birth 6 days later they were 6lbs10oz and 6lbs7oz.

DS was dead on, Dd they were off by a pound. In fact she measured bigger than him the whole way and in the end, she was almost a pound smaller.

My last growth u/s the babies were each over 5 pounds. I went another 2 weeks and they were both over 6 at birth. They were always pretty close in my opinion, looking back at the growth u/s.

Mine were off by a bit. My last u/s was at 37 weeks. I had the boys at 37w6d.

37w u/s: Baby A = 7lbs 13oz Baby B = 7lbs 8oz

6 days later at birth: Baby A = 6lbs 12oz Baby B = 6lbs 1oz

At my 36 week appointment: A measured 5 lbs 3 oz and B was 6 lbs 13 oz.

Actual weights a few days later: A = 5 lbs 12 oz and B = 7 lbs 2 oz.

Mine were very close. At my 37 week appt, the tech said my baby A was 6.15 and I kinda freaked out about potentially having 2 7 pounders. But then the MFM doc said no way, did the measurements herself, and came up with 6.8 for both of them. 5 days later they were born at 6.8 and 6.2.

At my last growth scan both babies were measuring exactly 6lbs. They were born 8 days later and were 6lb 2oz (DD) and 5lb 4oz (DS). HTH!

I had a growth scan three days before I had the boys. IIRC, they were estimated to be 3.15, 4.3, and 4.11. They were born at 4.3, 4.10, and 4.10.

I had an u/s 24 hours before they were born and the estimate for my Baby A was close (they said 5.5 lbs, he was 5 lbs, 9 oz) but off by about .5 lbs for my Baby B (they estimated 5 lbs, he was 4 lbs, 7 oz).

All along my growth scans were pretty close until about 28 weeks, when there was a big discrepency, they repeated it a week later and the girls were the same so they thought it had been a mistake. For the next 8 weeks they measured close. At last growth scan, at 37 weeks they were both estimated at 6.8 lbs. Baby A was close at 6.3 lbs but Baby B was 4lbs 11oz, but thankfully perfectly healthy!!!! I'm glad the "wrong" ultrasound was basically thrown out otherwise I may have been delivered early and been looking at NICU time.

My last growth scan was at 35w 4d. Baby A (boy) was estimated at 5lb 9oz and Baby B (girl) was estimated at 5 lb 11 oz. They were born via scheduled c-section at 37w 1d and Baby A was 6lb 5 oz and Baby B was 4 lb 15.5 oz. Baby B always measured ahead of Baby A, yet she was so much tinier than her brother.

At 33w6, the boys were estimated at 4 lb 6 oz and 4 lb 8 oz. They were born at 34w both weighing 4 lb 13 oz.

My 5 year old twins were born at 33w... they had a growth scan that morning before they were born (we didn't know they'd be arriving that evening!) and they were both estimated to be right at 5 lbs. My daughter was born at 4lbs 12oz and my son was smaller at 4lbs 1oz.
