I'm desperately trying to get Genna to sleep just one 4 hour stretch at night but she always poops after I put her in her crib. I feel bad letting her just sit in her own poo until the next feeding. Especially because we just got rid of her diaper rash and I certainly don't want it coming back.
What do you guys do?

I know I feel bad too! I usually always change her before to wake her up, but she always poops after she eats.
I find that swaddling her and then turning on her sleepy sounds sheep helps calm her down and she usually goes back to sleep.

Yeah, I wake him up. I don't want him chillin' in his poo for the same reason you mentioned, diaper rash sounds like no fun.
Do you put her in the crib at the same time every night? Can you try to keep her out of the crib until that time to see if she'll poo before hand o you can change her and then lay her in bed?
Unfortunately no, she hasn't really been conducive to any sort of schedule yet. Her poops used to be immediately after she ate but now anymore. So it could be 5 minutes after or an hour after
Well I'm just preparing for tonight. But I always do wake her because I really can't leave her sitting in poop. The problem is that she screams bloody murder when we change her, she hates it. It's really the only time (other than when she's hungry) that she cries.
P.S. Sorry I ran out so fast today. It was my first solo outing with Genna and she was crying because she was hungry and it was a little overwhelming, lol. I just wanted to get her home and feed her.
I have the FB seahorse on our changer and I turn it when we change DD. I feel like it destracts her from changing time

This exactly.
DS1 had severe diaper rash issues from sensitive skin so I think I'm a little more paranoid about rashes than most people.

I know, it doesn't bother me when I'm at home but out in public I feel like everyone is staring at me thinking "shut that baby up!" lol. I feel like I forget stuff too.
Thanks! Gia is adorable too! I can't believe she's 8lbs 11oz because she looks like a peanut too! She's so cute and petite. I might be in denial about how tiny Genna is, haha.
I don't blame you. Seeing her little red heiny really upset me. I didn't know babies could get a rash so fast but our pedi said it was common because they have so many BM's.
You're so right. I don't even think I could sleep knowing she had a stinky diaper.
LOL I'm sure she's fine! It's true though, it is always something. Weigh her next week and if she only gained another ounce then maybe call the pedi?
