Watermarking photos?

I was so happy to have finally uploaded a picture for my siggy and show off my girls, but now I'm nervous to post any photos b/c of all the weird stories out there. Someone mentioned in another post about watermarking their pictures. Is that something you can do with your own photos, or is it only on professional pics? How do you do it? TIA.

if you use tinypic.com to get the url to upload your pic there is a feature on there where you upload the image then once it uplods it you click the edit tool and on there you can add text. I should do this too... it is a good idea!

I added mine in photoshop. I think you can also add text in paint.

Okay, I made a watermark...I haven't posted a pic in my siggy for this reason too, but hopefully this watermark works!

Mine were huge at first too, then someone told me about the edit button on tinypic.com. That's what I used to upload mine. When you hit the edit button, you can drag the bar to make the picture smaller, then hit save. Good luck!!
