What do you put on a relish tray?

I am supposed to bring a relish tray to Christmas dinner. I didn't really know what this meant so I googled it. Now I am even more confused. So if you were asked to bring a relish tray what would you put on it?

My mom always refers to the veggie tray as a relish tray, so I would do carrots, celery, cauliflower, green peppers, cherry tomatoes, and dip.
