I ladies! I hope you don't mind me posting here. I normally post on the PAIF board. Someone suggested I post this over here to see if anyone has any experience with this.
Baby A's tube that runs from his kidney to his bladder is swollen and they think it may be blocked but will most likely either resolve on its own or it can be fixed with surgery after he's born. Baby B's umbilical cord is missing an artery. It's supposed to have two arteries and one vein. The Dr said we need to keep a close eye on it because it could cause problems with Baby B's growth. She said I will most likely be on bed rest in the near future and may have to deliver early because baby B would have a better chance of getting bigger on the outside.
Luckily, right now both babies
just under 2 pounds and I'm hoping they continue to plump up. I'm
really worried about baby B. I do feel like we're in very good hands,
but I'm very nervous. We got back in 3 weeks for another u/s. I'm
hoping baby B is continuing to grow and keep up with A and that A's
kidney and bladder tube (i can't remember the real name for it) gets
better. They also couldn't get all of the brain measurements because of
their position so hopefully we can get that next time.
Has anyone else dealt with this? I could really use any advice or experiences anyone has to offer.
TIA!
Re: Hi ladies
Welcome! While I haven't dealt with your situation specifically, I am also pregnant with twins and on hospital bed rest so I understand at some level the feelings that you are having right now. We all want our babies to cook in there for a long time with no issues!
I hope that your next u/s is a positive one and that all goes well. I will keep you in my thoughts! Please keep us updated on their progress.
Things are stable so I am really happy about that. In a weird way, I don't mind being on hospital bed rest because I know they are constantly monitoring me and doing all they can to get the best outcomes.
Today they mentioned again that they would re-evaluate me at 28 weeks and if everything is still stable they will allow me to go home to finish my bed rest. So, I have that to look forward to. However, I will be on bed rest until I deliver.
Thanks for checking in with me!!
