  • I'm thankful to be home with my baby today for lots of snuggles and playtime.  This also allows my DH to be upstairs getting some much needed rest, which is awesome.

I'm thankful and excited about our first Christmas together as a family.  There will be so much less stress this year since we are only celebrating with my family.

I'm thankful that I will back home with DS full-time starting next Friday, which will be so wonderful.

Finally, I'm thankful my little stinker finally went down for a nap at 9:45 after being up since 4 am.  Now I can get bottles washed and laundry done before we head out to his 4-month appointment.

  • I am so thankful dh called in and took today off. Walker has croup and we were up most of the night (sleep 2 hours, up 2 hours). I would be a mess if it was just me home today. He finally slept a good stretch from 5:30-9, but M was up for the day at 7 so I wouldnt have gotten any sleep.

I am thankful M is having a sleepover at my parents tonight.  Nice quiet date night at home with Walker sounds great, and a chance to wrap and double check our stocking loot.

**Thankful everyone in my whole family is healthy for the holidays!

**Thankful my SIL is keeping the tradition of Christmas Eve dinner and my Mom always does Christmas - all I have to do now is show up with a cute kid - LOVE IT!

**Thankful my H is finally getting easy, well-paid photography gigs to supplement his passion, and maybe our bank account too - yippee!

**Thankful for 10 DAYS OFF IN A ROW starting at 3pm today.

  • I'm thankful we decided to spend Christmas morning together as a family, just the three of us. Then we will be out and about visiting local family.

I'm thankful Carter has learned how to give kisses and hugs when daddy or I ask for one. It's too dang cute.

I'm thankful my boss likes me.

  • I'm thankful that in the midst of a really rough year for my family I've managed to have an exceptionally good year. I feel guilty about it a lot but I know that I should stock up on the good years so I have some happiness in reserve for the bad years. I'm thankful for the health of my children, my home, and my husband who allows me to pursue my whims and passions.
  • I am thankful for my family, I am a very blessed woman.

I am extremely thankful that today is my Friday and I don't have to come back to work until Jan 3rd!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am thankful that Jake has been asleep in his swing for an hour now and has given me a much needed break to get some stuff done.

I am thankful that DH washes the bottles from overnight when he gets up in the mornings so that I don't have to wash them one handed while holding Jake who is less than patient when it's time to eat.

I am thankful for the adorable smiles that I am greeted with from my little guy every time he sees me. It truly makes being a mommy an amazing thing.

  • I'm thankful that the front of my fridge is filling up with pictures of people that love and care for us this holiday season. I lost all of my superficial friends a few years ago when I got divorced. I feel pround of all the new friendships I have created and nurtured over the last few years. They are all way better friends than the ones that were selected for me by my exdh. I smile when I see the pictures and can tell myself "see, people do like me."

  • I'm thankful that E has slept for long (6-hour-ish) stretches at night lately and is taking a bottle from Matt without a problem.  It's really making me feel like going back to teaching in a few weeks will work out.

I'm also thankful for the friends who have stepped in and offered to help out with our childcare situation.  I feel really blessed!

  • Oh - I am also thankful that after juice was accidently spilled on the cable box and frying it, the cable company didn't charge us for a new box.

  • I am so thankful that DH's job has picked up. We were really tight for a while. He now has sold about 4 or 5 houses in the last month or so. And having DS in daycare has helped us all. DS is happy to have kids to play with all day, I don't worry about DH and DS being over loaded, and DH is able to do his job like he needs to in order to get sales.

I am also thankful that I am allowed to work from home. I told DH yesterday that I don't even notice if it has rained a lot this fall or not because I don't have to drive or get wet at all now. And I was able to wrap all of our gifts during my slow time this week while I was on the clock. So nice.

  • I'm thankful that my baby boy looks very healthy! :-)  I'm also just thankful that I've been able to maintain this pregnancy and keep baby growing.  I still can't believe I'm almost half-way already.

And I'm thankful that snow is in the forecast, in my hometown, for the next few days!

I'm thankful to be surrounded by loving family this holiday season. They can be annoying and too much drama, but I know how lucky I am to have them.

I'm most thankful for DH, who is truely an exceptional husband and father.

  • I am thankful to have Christmas day off this year after 4 years of having to work it!

I am thankful for my beautiful son who is growing up to have such a fun personality!!

I am thankful for my DH who loves us both unconditionally!

  • So many things!

For my exceptional, beautiful daughter.  She is so joyful and today I needed it.  While standing in the pouring rain today, shaking off soda spilled on my entire Target cart and realizing she had peed/pood through her diaper, clothes and the bjorn...she giggled.  And I did too.  It made it all an adventure rather than a nightmare.

For my DH.  Next week I am leaving for a week to go work with 200 teens in the snow.  Working with these kids has become a passion of mine, and DH understands and hasn't complained once about me leaving.  He doesn't question how much I love my job AND my family, and helps me find the balance.

For my parents.  I've lost one brother to diabetes and now both of my parents have developed adult-onset diabetes among other health problems.  I expect every phone call to be "the one" so I try to treasure every day they are here.  I am so excited they will be with my daughter for her first Christmas.

I don't talk about it much, but my faith.  I try to list my blessings every night and thank God for each one.  I live a blessed life.
