I've been seeing my therapist weekly since the beginning of November. I've just within the last week started to feel semi-normal again. I think it's a combination of my meds, the therapy, the PPD support group I go to weekly and the twins just being older and a bit more predictable.
I had done a bit of therapy in the past, but the therapist and I didn't gel very well. I found her to be a bit condescending. My therapist this time around is awesome and she's super easy to talk to and is really encouraging. Sometimes I think you have to find the right personality fit for therapy to be successful. Good luck!

I started seeing my therapist after DS was born, during the summer of 2009. I still see her twice a month and I can't give her up. I struggle with anxiety and OCD more than depression, but the depression sneaks up on me on occasion and I'm terrified of the PPD again with this baby.
I noticed it helping within the first 2- 3 visits. I also combined taking medication when I started going. I went off the meds before I got pregnant with my second so that is another reason I wanted to conitue to work with her...I'm currently med-free, but she helps me with a lot of coping strategies and is helping me prepare for a different experience this time around.
