Pregnant after a Loss

Midnight Snacks?

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has to have a midnight snack. I need strength in numbers.

Every night I have to get up at least once to go to the bathroom. LO has decided that means its time to wake up, play, and eat breakfast.  Of course being the good mommy that I am I have to oblige and get a snack.

Re: Midnight Snacks?

  • I keep a bowl of goldfish on my nightstand for this exact reason.

  • For a while there I was waking up in the middle of the night and I'd eat a spoonful of pb. It usually hit the spot and kept me feeling somewhat full until breakfast. I still will have random moments where I wake up to pee and I'm starving but I'm usually too lazy to head to the kitchen so I just chug some water and go back to sleep.

  • I wouldn't say I have to have a midnight snack but sometimes when I'm up all night because I can't sleep anymore, I usually get really hungry around 3:30-4am and do have a small bowl of special K or PB&J on toast.
  • Ha!  I don't think you're alone at all...

I usually fall asleep on the couch because (get this) I'm too tired at 9:30 to go downstairs, brush my teeth and get in bed.  So I sleep there until midnight, then I get up and have a snack, hit the ladies room, then go to bed.

My tummy gnaws if I don't have an evening snack!  (And I still have to get up at 4 or so to pee...)
