DH texts me today to key me know he wants a Keurig for Christmas. Great, 2 days to research single cup coffee makers and find a deal. So, anyone have an opinion? Would you get it again? Is there a less expensive brand/type that you like better?
I bought DH one for Christmas. It got the Platinum one from QVC. It came with an additional 48 k-cups and the VERY IMPORTANT "my k-cup" that you can use regular coffee in if you run out of k-cups. I am super excited to give it him! He is a huge coffee lover!
Everyone that I have talked to about it absolutely loves it!
I just got the Keurig Special Edition at Kohl's for $139.99, regular price $169.99, and I bought two boxes of k-cups, the total came to $170 for everything including tax and I got $30 in Kohl's cash to use after Christmas. I can't wait to get it out of the box and use it.
If he's exclusively a coffee drinker, the Keurigs are nice and easy to use.
If he (or you) enjoy espresso/lattes/mochas, etc. too, then consider the Nespresso machines - even the least expensive one makes AMAZING espresso and coffee and you can also get an Aerochino milk frother (often sold as a set with the nespresso machine) that easily makes warm and/or cold steamed/frothed milk. SO easy to use, no mess - love, love, LOVE it! Personally, I like the coffee better from this machine than the Keurig
I wasn't a big coffee/espresso drinker at all before one of these came in our house... and now I'm totally addicted (in a good way - it's my little morning treat!)
I love my Keurig!! Costco has them for a good price or if you don't have a Costco membership just get one at Bed Bath & Beyond and use their 20% off coupon. I have the top of the line one with the water reservoir and 5 cup size choices, auto on/off timer.
