What is your biggest vanity? What is the one physical trait that you use to describe yourself with?
Two friends and I are cutting off our hair tomorrow and donating it to Locks of Love in honor of a friend who just died of Leukemia. The other two have hair that is past their butt (mine is just barely to my waist) and while all three of us feel it is the right thing to do we were talking about how sad it will be.
I feel like my hair is my one vanity right now. I'm still carrying so much extra weight, I'm getting older, things aren't quite as firm and perky as they once were... Part of me feels that without my hair I will be a frumpy 'Mom' and not the fun, feisty 'Me'.
Hopefully this will be the incentive I need to finally get my hiney in gear and get back in shape, and I'm hoping it will help me loosen up a little bit as far as my looks are concerned. But I'm still a bit sad tonight. ![]()

Re: Vanity...
It is but you must have carried the recessive gene for blue eyes, which is why Michael has the blue eyes. If you didn't carry the gene his eyes would be brown. So it's all your fault
Not sure what I like about myself at the moment. I still don't feel like myself after having the baby and with all that pumping that's going on right now.
What a great donation/gift. I'm sure your friend would really appreciate it. I can see how it would be daunting - you've had your hair long for such a long time. I'd love to see photos of you after the haircut. I bet you won't be frumpy at all - you will be styling!
For me, I guess it would be my eyes. They're hazel and I love how they change color depending upon my mood and what color I wear. I too wish my kids got my eye color. T has bright blue eyes and S's eyes are still changing color. It will be interesting to see what they turn into.
My hair. It was long and thick and down to my a$$, then I cut it all off when it became all dreaded and gross from PP hair loss
It would be my eyes, they're big and a lovely blue color. Unfortunately they're always bloodshot now since I'm always tired
:(
So now I'm waiting for my hair to grow out and looking to invest in some eye drops.
My Blog

I love that you did that!
I think it depends on the day, for me. I have pale brown, sort of swampwater eyes that I love when they aren't bloodshot or dark-circled, which is rarely. I love my thick, curly-but-able-to-be-straightened silver hair, except on days I feel haggardly and frizzy and hate it. My legs are good even when the rest of me is bloated and dumpy, like, say, in the first trimester, but the only thing I can wear right now is jeans.
So, yeah, love/hate here.
