New and Question about First Cycle after D & C

Hi All.  I am new to thebump and have found my way here after dealing with my first m/c about 2 months ago seeking support and advice.  I've been lurking for awhile and it seems like a place for just that.  So, to start I really want to say I'm sorry for all of your losses but so glad this resource is here for all of us.

 I had my d&c a few months ago, and my first AF arrived Nov. 28.  I was just curious if anyone experienced changes in their first cycle after D&C.  If so, what did you notice?

    Welcome to the board, but on the other hand, I am sorry that you're here.  I'm sorry, as well, for your loss.  I hope you find the support you need here.

    All my life, I've had regular AFs...every CD28 I'd start and they'd last 5 days.  After my first D&C, AF1 started on CD31 and lasted 4 days.  It was the most painful AF I ever remembered...more blood and cramps than my normal cycles.  AF2 started on CD28, lasted 5 days and was like old times. 

    I hear it's completely common to have crazy cycles after a miscarriage.  I'm anticipating my first AF since my 2nd D&C at the beginning of January.

    Looks like we were only a week apart. We found out we had a mm/c on 10/26 and I had a D&C 11/3. I finally got AF exactly 6wks after my D&C. It was heavier than usual but lasted the same amount of time. I also had a little more cramping than in the past. Now just waiting for one more cycle before we can try again!     Mine was the same length and right on schedule (7 days long arriving 29 days from when mc started).  Was a smidge heavier than normal.  From what I've heard there can be quite the range though and its not uncommong for there to be changes.  Apparently sometimes things work their way back to normal & sometimes you'll now have a new normal.
