visiting santa

we're planning to take dd to see santa tomorrow at either northwest mall or memorial city.  has anyone been to either of these places?  can you tell me how the santa is (real beard, nice, etc.) and how much it costs?

    We have done both...Northwest Mall last year and Memorial City this year. I can guarantee you'll have a longer line at Memorial City. We went last Friday around 10:30 am, and it probably took about 45 minutes to get to the front of the line. Northwest Mall is usually pretty dead, so I bet you wouldn't face much of a line at all. The Santa doesn't arrive until 11 there. 

    I paid $22 at MCM for one 5 x 7 and two 3 x 5's. It's $35 for the digital file. They have a lot of packages. I think the cheapest was $16 for one picture.

    The NWM Santa (assuming it's the same as last year) has a great personality. He's really friendly and warm. The MCM one seemed rather mute to me. Both have real beards. I'd say the MCM one looks exactly as you would picture Santa looking. The NWM one does look like Santa, but he seems a little smaller to me.

    This response may be too late, but my sig pic is taken at Memorial City.  The line was long but I thought he was great.   The prices vary I think we paid about $25 for 8 wallets, 4 4x6 and 3 5x7 -- or something like that. 
    My big boy is bounding towards 4! Baby brother coming in October!

    thanks for the info, ladies!  we went to northwest mall this afternoon and of course santa was on break.  but we waited almost the whole hour and then as we stood there getting dd dressed in her cute christmas outfit, we realized that dh had forgotten part of it when he packed it.  fail.  

    oh well, there's still time!  :)

    A friend of mine went to Bass Pro last night and said that they do pictures there for free!
