DS luckily doesn't have strep but unfortunately his doctor wants him to tan amoxacillin for the next 10 days anyhow. Ds just hates it he screams and cries and vomits it back up. Does anyone have any advice for getting a baby to take their medicine?
Put it in a bottle with some breast milk in it if he takes a bottle. Otherwise take a little syringe or dropper, lay him back, and put it in on the side of his mouth so the tip is way back in his cheek. Squirt it in a little at a time and he may not taste it but have to swallow it. GL!
Sorry, had another thought. Does he use a pacifier? I have to give LO her pacifier for a bit right after I give her her medicine otherwise she will spit it out. Initially she takes it well though, so I'm not sure how that will work for you.

How much is he taking? DD takes zantac for her reflux and is on 1 mL at a time. We have one of the big syringes that goes up to like 5 or something so I can literally put a lot of the syringe in her mouth (so it misses a lot of the taste buds) and push the plunger really fast so it all goes in in one swallow. I found if I use the 1 mL syringes she gets the taste of it about half way through and protests the rest.
