Growth Spurt=Extra Spit Up?

I believe my DS is going thru his 6 week growth spurt. He has been feeding more often and taking in more per feeding. He acts as if he isn't satisfied at feedings. He is also even more fussy than his usual fussy self. Nothing seems to soothe him besides being worn in his baby carrier. Does this sound like what any of you ladies have experienced with a growth spurt?

Also, he has silent reflux (without the spit up). But the past few days he has been spitting up like crazy after feedings. Even up to an hour or two after feedings. Did your LOs spitting up increase during a growth spurt? TIA

Re: Growth Spurt=Extra Spit Up?

  • Hmm that's interesting. I'd never thought of it, but my LO is 6 weeks and has been eating a ton and spitting up a lot more too. I'm curious to see what others say.

  • Same thing going on here... yep, growth spurt. I not so fondly remember DD#1's 6-week growth spurt... it was the worst of them all. Hang in there... there is usually a period of good sleep following the crazy eating, etc.
  • During DS's growth spurts he eats MUCH more, but I haven't noticed more spit up. But DS has very little spit up to begin with.
