Hep B shot side effects

Hi all, I've been lurking since DD was born (11-14) but haven't posted til today! 

I'm just wondering, since I took DD to the pedi today and she had her 2nd Hep B shot, what side effect(s) did your LOs have?

Could it have made her sleepy? The crappy nurse acted miserable and just said, "No side effects...maybe redness or soreness where she gets the shot..." gave the shot, and walked out without another word.

DD got the shot 5.5 hours ago and has been sleeping for the past 4 hours. I'm just trying to decide if I should wake her to feed her or not...I never wake her at night and usually she doesn't sleep for this long of a stretch during the day. For now, I'm letting her sleep, but should there be a point when I try to get her to eat? What do you all think? TIA

    My Little guy got his yesterday and has been sleeping so much. He slept most of yesterday afternoon. really good last night. and has slept a lot of today. They told me that would happen. Would be interested to know how it was for others.

    My little girl slept the whole day after her second hep B shot, the pedi said it was normal.

    Thanks :) It took me a minute to realize that she could be so sleepy from the shot...last night she slept longer than she ever has, so this threw me off! It's good to know she's not the only one...if only the nurse hadn't been so impersonal!

    My DD slept alot when she got hers.  Her also said this was normal.

    My DS just got his first Hep B shot today, and he has been more sleepy.  I noticed that and just figured it was from the shot.  It's nice to see that others have reacted the same way.  He's also been rather fussy today, and I've had to hold and cuddle him a lot to calm him down.  He's usually a really calm, content baby.

    My DS just got his first Hep B shot today, and he has been more sleepy.  I noticed that and just figured it was from the shot.  It's nice to see that others have reacted the same way.  He's also been rather fussy today, and I've had to hold and cuddle him a lot to calm him down.  He's usually a really calm, content baby. 

    Oh, and I mentioned on Facebook that DS was fussy from the shot, and a ton of moms told me that their doctors would tell them to give the baby tylenol about 30 minutes before they were to get their shot, and then again later, and that helped A LOT.  I didn't know this, and might try it next time, depending on what my pedi says.
