Any suggestions on how to get my 6 mo twinkies to STTN?? They are very good nappers (2 per day - 45 to 90 min each) and are put down around 9 pm each night with a cereal bottle...but at/around 3 am EVERY NIGHT it?s a party in the co-sleeper....grunts and growing then all out screams if we don't give them a bottle...HELP!!! at first I thought this was normal until I looked through the other posts of moms boosting of 10-12 hr stretches...we've tried pacies, letting them soothe themselves back to sleep, snack size bottles...I'm running out of ideas and my lack of sleep is catching up to me...ANY suggestions would be GREAT!!....Thanks ladies!!
Re: STTN - Twinkies having 3 am PARTIES!!
Waking up once at 6 months to eat is pretty normal actually. While some kids are STTN by that age, there are many more who are not.
ours just started sleeping through the night a week and a half ago. I slowly weaned them of their night feedings after talking to pedi. They we had to CIO for 2 nights. One sleeps from 7pm-6am without any wakings. The other is smallers and sometimes wakes and fusses for 5 mins or so, but wakes btwn 5am-5:15 and is ready to eat, I'm hoping once she gets a little bigger she can make it to 6am too.
The Sleep Easy Solution helped alot.
Mine aren't even close to STTN. They are up at least twice, but usually three times a night. I heard it was very normal to wake at least once a night to eat through nine months old.
My babies have fallen slightly off their weight curve, so my doc said to feed them when they wake at night. I EBF so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I have tried everything to get them to eat more during the day, but they just won't.
I also agree with others that maybe their bed time needs to be earlier. Mine can't stay up past 7pm, and I have tried. Maybe you can try making their bedtime earlier and give them a dream feed right before you go to bed.

THANK YOU all for the advice and letting me know this is somewhat normal... I will def try the earlier bedtime with the dream feed before I go to bed...Merry Christmas!!
