Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Last night I dyed my hair gray...

Before my hair was very white blond, but I wanted to go back to my natural color of a darker ash-kind of blond. Apparently there's something wrong with me because I didn't read the box I picked out... Damn L'Oreal lady with her nice hair influencing my $12.99. Anyways, I dyed it, it turned completely gray.

Psh, yeah... Pretty awesome, right? I had to send DH back to the store to get the right color. Oh, and did I mention that there was a windstorm last night? So, H is walking back to the truck in the windstorm and when he gets in he passes me the right color and says, "I felt pretty gay going in there. They thought it was for me".

Ahh, gotta love my husband. He must love me and my gray-haired self. But, in better news, I'm brunette, not gray anymore!

Thought I should share.

Re: Last night I dyed my hair gray...

  • I have blond hair too.  I have learned over the years, that if I want to dye my hair, I must stay away from anything with the word "ash" in it.  It turns mine kind of purple-gray.

What color did you end up using?

  • Hahahaha!

I have blond hair, too. I better remember this! I tend to stay in the red family, though, when I dye mine.

  • When I read your post title I thought you had done it intentionally a la Lady Gaga! You could've totally rocked it and spared your H the embarrassment. hehe

This Exactly! Ash is just that...ASHY looking. I have medium ash blonde hair (naturally) and I have tried to go back natural and I also have gotten the gray/purple look. Not cool. Glad ur not gray anymore :-)

  • That reminds me of the time I let my bff from high school "practice" on me while she was in beauty school. My only option to cover up the red hair with purple highlights was to dye my hair jet black. The night before rush. She never touched my head again.

  • Definitely not a fashion statement I wanted to make. I do like couture, but not so much on my head that way. I'm picky about my hair since I grew it back out from a short, short pixie cut, haha!

Anyway, the color we ended up going with was a light brown... It's nice and has a golden color to it.

  • I've had many hair mishaps.  Too many to count.  lol  Glad yours was easy to fix though.  I've had some where the only way to fix it was going to a professional hairstylist.  Embarrassed
