Indiana Babies

I've been MIA...

In the middle of the night on Monday I thought my water broke.  I waited an hour, got up and had more fluids leaking so I called the dr.  Since they thought it was my water they had to send me to L&D.  I would have stayed home because I wasn't really having any noticeable contractions.  But when they hooked me up to the NST monitor it showed I was having contractions every 5-7min.  They checked me internally and I was only 2cm, 50% effaced but there was a bloody show and I have already lost my MP.  After a few hours, a lot of poking and proding, I was sent home but they thought they would see me later that day or the following day.  I was glad though because I was already getting antsy after only 3 hours in that bed.  Since we live 5 minutes from the hospital, I would really like to labor at home until it's absolutely necessary to go.

Guess what?  I'm still here with no baby! :(

I had my regular appointment yesterday and there is still no progress.  What a let down, especially after all that drama.  I was an emotional wreck.  I think it was a combination of thinking I was in labor and then being told that my induction would be in one week, on Tuesday 12/28.

I am really hoping that this LO gets his act together and quick!

  • I couldn't feel my contractions either even though the monitor showed them to be pretty strong and coming at regular intervals.

At least you've made some progress right?   Who knows, maybe you've dilated more since then.

I hope LO decides to make an appearance soon.  The waiting game is not fun, especially when you think you've made a lot of progress.

  • Sending happy dilating thoughts :-)

  • Is it sad that I have replaced my computer chair with an exercise ball in hopes that it will help?

    ditto - haha!

  • I was wondering if there was news since we hadn't seen you for a while.  My water definitely broke, but I hadn't had a single contraction.  Hopefully you are holding your baby soon!

  • Oh man...that's frustrating!  Maybe you'll have a Christmas baby though.  I hope that your little one decides to appear sooner than Tuesday!
  • I also could not feel the contractions, but the monitor was showing them being strong. The nurses kept asking me if I felt them when they saw a strong one show up. I hope you have a baby in your arms soon!
  • Oh man!  It would be really tough to get there and then get sent home, but remember you're sooo close and almost there!  I'm thinking good thoughts for you Deanne, and I can't wait to hear that the little guy is here!
