Man vent

Mark decided to wait til now (literally out right now) to go shopping for me for xmas. I told him i really dont want anything (honestly i dont) and that id rather have his help here. (cleaning and babycare) and just hanging with me before he jumps back into his 12 hour days again. but no, he insists. so i tell him just to get me winter pjs from Victoria Secret (XL so i can wear them now) i was 231 when i gave birth and now im 192. im normally between 140-150.

just so happens, they dont sell XLs in their stores. Mark, who i didnt want to even leave has to call to tell me this for some reason, so now not only was i in the middle of feeding babies and  he kept calling, but he calls to reaffirm that hey, youre too fat to shop IN their store....

Way to go partner...

Im okay with being larger right now cause i know its coming off...but really?

HA, now he texts me asking if i want lunch...ummm ill pass

  • They just don't get it. DH, who is a great dad, will spend the whole time the babies are napping on his computer, then as soon as they are awake he'll ask if it is OK for him to run an errand. Dufus! (In the most loving sense of the word).

This is my DH all the way! he'll also sit on the computer for the first half hour in the morning while I'm feeding the babies and then will end up running late for work because he doesn't have enough time to get ready. Sometimes I wish I could impose technology restrictions like I know we'll have to do for the kids some day.

  • Maybe he has a secret gift.  If so, careful careful on being too snippy :P

For the pj's, he can still order them online to get there on time.  Tell him that when he gets home.

  • My DH always shops at the last minute....I'd definitelly give him a pass....you JUST had newborn twins!  I'm sure he wasn't thinking about christmas presents and shopping, etc.

Also- mine would have probably called to tell me that they didn't have what I want either.  That way I could have re-directed!!!
