Dear Sushi,
I miss you! I remember our weekly meetings when I delightfully popped one roll after another. I remember breaking apart my chopsticks and brushing them together to sand off any splinters. I miss breaking off pea sizes of wasabi at a time and stiring them gently into my soy sauce. I miss picking up individual grains of rice that have fallen from my spicy tuna roll with my chop sticks. I miss the sips of steaming hot green tea between bites of tako and salmon sashimi. Tonight I will return to you sushi. Don't get too excited, I'll be refraining from my favorite love boat assortment and sticking to fully cooked selections, but I'll drool slightly over the yummy bites on everyone else's plate! Only 100+ days until we will meet again my favorite raw delight!
-Anyone else write this letter recently?
Re: Dear Sushi, I miss you!
ME! If you see sushi tell them I say "Hi" and I'll see them in a few months.
Whenever I tell people that I miss sushi they tell me that I can eat the cooked rolls or califronia or veggie. I HATE those - I want the good stuff! This will be my dinner/breakfast after I get home from the hosipital, my husband knows to have some waiting for me.
I didn't cut out sushi, just cut back --way back. So yes, I miss it, but I will have it again!
My doctor is ok with me eating sushi, so long as I stick to small fishes and don't eat it often, so I guess I've been pretty lucky. However, I can't wait to eat all those fishes on my "avoid" list and of course, eat it multiple times a week instead of every few.

Yes, I have written this letter. Only, my letter also included Sake.
My mouth is now watering.
Spicy salmon! oh I miss you! (and I know you miss me too...)
DH knows exactly what I want from that little sushi place we love, and he knows he's bringing it to me while I'm still in the hospital
I miss sushi IMMENSELY but have been getting by with cooked and veggie rolls. I did, however, write this letter to Grey Goose vodka as my Facebook status message a while back:
Dear Grey Goose: I lay in bed last night thinking about us. And how stupid and wrong it was of me to leave you. As soon as I'm out of this mess that's keeping us apart, I'll be your girl again if you'll let me. A girl and her vodka should never be separated for this long. Please tell me you'll take me back. Please? I promise, I'm yours again, come May. ? , S
Strangely enough, Grey Goose wrote me back, in French:
Tes yeux, j'en r?ve jour et nuit. On pardonne tant que l'on aime, et mon amour pour toi est ?ternel. Tu es pour moi la plus belle. C'est pour toi que je suis l?.
Translation: "Your eyes, I dream day and night. We forgive as we love, and my love for you is eternal. You are for me the most beautiful. It's for you I'm here."
Even more reason I love my co-editor Jeff--he writes me love letters in French from my vodka ;-)
Mac and cheese lover!
Seriously!!!
The only thing I really have to complain about being pregnant.... I miss my sushi.
Ha ha ha ha...too funny.
I miss sushi too and beer and wine...but everytime I feel my LO kicking or rolling around in there, my cravings for all those yummy forbidden things disappears (for a little bit...)
