DH and I were both worried about taking Paige so soon, but I realized that I'd forgotten to pick up her winter coat and snow pants (they keep them in a different area), so he wanted to go and pick those up.
When they got there, the bigger kids were playing in the gym, so Paige was a little clingy to DH. After a few minutes, the big kids left and all of Paige's little 1- and 2-year-old friends came in, and she was so excited to see them (and they were excited to see her!). She played with them all for about 45 minutes, and then it was time for them to head back to their room, and the big kids to come back out and play. Once the big kids came back out, Paige was pretty much done with playing, and headed home with no problem. We were really worried that she'd put up a fight with leaving the gym, but DH said she did great.
The teachers were all happy to see her, and the director told Larry that they were welcome anytime! The director was very appreciative of Larry's offer to help out with any repair/improvement stuff they needed done. :-)
Re: Daycare Visit #1 = Success
Oh that's so great to hear!
How sweet of Larry to offer up those services to them! Sounds like a great relationship between you all!
I didn't get a chance to post on the OP, but I'm so, so glad that you guys were able to work out a way for her to still go to the daycare and see her buddies!
