Always follow your instincts...

Last night, LO spiked a temp of 102.  I about threw up when I saw it on the thermometer, even though I knew it was going to be high!  This morning I called the nurse line.  He's been acting fine too, but I knew something was wrong.  A) he had a temp, he has a diaper rash and has NEVER had one before.  I told them he was tugging at his ear even though he wasn't and that I saw drainage even though he didn't have any. I knew that would get us into the office though.  Sure enough, DS has a left ear infection.  And to think, DH wanted me to cancel the appointment because he was acting like himself!
