my mom just went to NYC with her best friend and her best friend's daughter in law. The daughter in law is pregnant, I'm not sure how far along, but enough for the world to know she's expecting.

They were sitting at the airport waiting to go home yesterday and the daughter in law got wasted. She is sitting in front of two grieving grandmothers (the bff's other daughter in law lost a baby at 21w a few months ago) and getting trashed? My mom was so pissed and said something to her, but she kept drinking.

Even though I won't do it, I don't judge people who have an occasional glass of wine during their pregnancy, but this is totally different.

I know she's to the point of showing because I was told back in August that she was a couple of months pregnant.

And I totally agree with the occasional glass of wine - not for me, but I don't judge. Getting completely, totally wasted is entirely different. I judge, judge, judge.

And she'll probably be one of those women who treats their body & baby like crap and have a perfectly healthy baby. So not fair to the women who have to deal with medical problems who took great care of themselves and their baby.

Whoa...I'm judging that...and that's bad parenting. That should be considered child abuse...that poor innocent baby.
