T&P for my friend

I just got an email from my friend's husband, that had the reoccurance of breast cancer (Leah's former sitter), that they have moved her to ICU and she is currently on a vent b/c she can't get/make enough oxygen.  They think it is one of 3 things, 1. she has some type of infection, 2. she is having a reaction to her chemo, 3. there is more cancer in her lungs.  If is #3 there really isn't anything they can do and she likely won't make it to the end of the year.  Her oncologist, which is one of the best breast cancer oncologists in the country, is leaning towards it being #3.  She has had additional tests and they should know something in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Not only does this suck just b/c it sucks but it is hitting way to close to home with everything that JUST happened with my dad.  He was on a vent in ICU at the end, so I want to go see her b/c she is basically like a sister to me, but it is going to be one of the hardest things I've ever done.

Please pray for my friend, her husband and her 3 year old daughter which has to be so confused right now.

    I'm so, so sorry.  Sending lots of T&P to you and your friend.  That's so sad and I feel for her family, especially during the holidays.

    Oh I am so sorry.   My heart breaks for her family and you.

    There's not a lot I'm going to say to help you feel better, but I'm so very sorry you have to go through this.  I can't imagine what you and her family are going through.  My T&P go to you, your friend and her family as they navigate this terrible time.

    I am so sorry.  I cannot imagine.  I have a friend who is a friend of hers and she forwards me the emails/updates. I do not know her, but reading the email last night made me cry.  I'm praying for the family and you.
