Loved ours when DS was an infant and will definitely use it again. Nothing ever even reached the filter much less the "straw" but it really worked and was really easy to clean.
That thing is a gift sent straight from heaven. At the risk of getting shanked, you'll see.
ETA: it does look disgusting though.
This! It's one of my very favorite must have baby products. The snot is quite well contained and there's absolutely no chance of it getting into your mouth. It doesn't even get close. The snot sucker wouldn't even make my list of top 5 gross things about babies!

This. When it's 2 in the morning and you just can't stand to here your congested baby try to breath through his snot one more minute...you'll try anything.
I began reading this thread totally grossed out, but by the end I was sold! Thanks, girls. I'll put this in my favorites list so I remember it - and also on my list of things I own to never mention to non-mommies
I find it bizzare that someone actually thought of this.....The last thing I would think about is sucking the snot out of my kids nose with my mouth......gross!

I thought that too until I had my LO - I wished for something like this and didnt' know it existed...I am getting one ASAP.
Never say never, ladies. This is hands down one of the best products on the market.
And you can't actually get the snot in your mouth. There is a barrier. Your mouth is simply the suction, and let me tell you, it works better than anything out there!
