Hello all,
I am new posting to this board, and while my situation is a little different than most I see here, I hope I am still welcome. Our son was born November 17th, with no kidneys, he was only with us for an hour and four minutes. I had been without amniotic fluid since 19 weeks, and had known that our son had a condition for quite some time, so my fiance and I were able to somewhat 'prepare' ourselves for the loss. Although no one can really ever prepare themselves for the loss of their child. There is so far no reason as to why his kidneys didn't develop, we are waiting on genetics test results to come back. We named our baby Otis Jack Neal, after our 3 closest grandfathers. We aren't yet TTC, but it is a plan for the near future, as we believe it is what we need to help us heal from our loss. I hope I will be welcome here, I enjoy reading your posts, I can really relate to most of you!
Until next time,
Tisha

I'm so sorry for your loss, that is horrible and very sad. I love the name and the significance.
I hope you find comfort and support here.
Of course you are welcome here! You have suffered a horrible loss. I'm so sorry for the loss of you Otis. ((big hugs))
We have a TTCAL blog if you could check it out if you haven't already--link is in the bottom of my siggy.
Hey there--from one Potters Sequence momma to another, I just wanted to offer you my sincerest condolences. If you ever want to talk, please feel free to drop me a PM and we can exchange info.

Thank you, I appreciate that. You know, during the whole pregnancy, the perinatologist never referred to my son's condition as Potter's Sequence, he kept calling it Renal Agenesis. I guess they are the same thing, but I never heard the other term until I began my own research online.
I would appreciate having someone to talk to who knows what I have been through, thank you!
