probably a very dumb wool question

How on earth do I get it to dry??  I lanolized our covers on Sunday. They're still just as wet as they were then. I squeezed out as much water as I could, and then I laid them flat to dry. I checked them yesterday and they were still wet. So, I tried to open them up and hang them. Over  48 hours later, they are still as wet as they were when I squeezed them out.  It's rained here for 3 days straight. I'm sure all the moisture in the air doesn't help, but what else am I doing wrong??

    Are they on a drying rack?  I lay mine over the top of a drying rack.

    They were on the drying rack and now I have the hung on door knobs.

    I throw mine in the washing machine on the spin cycle.  So far, no felting.  And then lay them on a drying rack in a bathroom where I can raise the temperature a bit.  

    I live in a really dry climate though.

    I haven't done this with diapers but I do this with wool sweaters.

    Lay a hand towel out flat, put the diaper on the towel. and roll the towel up. It takes a lot of the water out. HTH

    I throw it in the washer for a spin cycle only and then set it to dry flat. It works great and it so much faster than just drying!

    I'm not sure how you're doing it, but squeezing out the water by hand never seems to be enough in my experience.

    The best method is to put them in the washer on the spin cycle only.  It won't felt them and even my thickest wool is dry overnight.

    The other option is to lay it out on a towel and roll it up and apply pressure to get as much moisture out as possible.
