Do you think it would be safe to leave a couple of soft toys (like fabric blocks) in her crib at 7 months old? I've noticed that when Betty Jane wakes up from naps she is fine to play with a little toy in her crib for a while. The only problem is that when I go into her room to give her a toy she doesn't want me to leave. Her teeth are also coming in so I don't want to leave anything in her crib that she could eventually chew off like buttons or plastic eyes on stuffed animals. That's why I thought fabric blocks or plastic rings might be good. What do you think?
Re: Toys in Crib
I think she'd be fine. I left Aaron's seahorse in his crib at that time.
I also had that aquarium hooked up to the slats and he'd play with that. Also maybe a soft mirror?

I think it's fine.. she's old enough to push it away if she doesn't want it and grab it when she does want it.
C's always had his seahorse and a small Baby Snoopy in his crib.. ever since birth. Now he also has Napoleon, his purple sock monkey. (A gift from his crazy uncle, who thought the sock monkey should have a "regal" name.)
Of course, I'm also the mom who has allowed her kid to have a blanket since Day One.. and now he won't sleep without a big, thick snuggly blankey.
